Packaging EPR & representation
LUCID, German authorised representative, system status, packaging quantities, reports, evidence and shop/marketplace data in one ongoing workflow.
EPRORA manages your ongoing packaging EPR process.
Connect your shops and marketplaces, bring sales and packaging data together, and keep your reporting records up to date in your EPRORA Office.

EPRORA handles the ongoing German packaging-EPR workflow around your authorised-representative mandate, LUCID status, packaging quantities, reporting evidence and supported marketplace or shop data.
Already have a LUCID number? Keep it. EPRORA can continue from the existing producer record. No LUCID yet? Official LUCID producer registration is free, and EPRORA guides you through the producer-only registration step before the transferable compliance workflow continues.
Start with German packaging compliance and keep building on the same product data: EPRORA can connect Digital Product Passports, serial-number-based product identity, QR-code access, marketplace/shop data and supported production systems in one platform.
The ZSVR gives the following examples: up to €200,000 for breaches of system-participation duties, up to €100,000 for breaches of registration duties and up to €10,000 for breaches of data-reporting duties.
The actual fine depends on the type, severity and degree of fault. Multiple breaches may be sanctioned separately; disgorgement of economic benefits may also be possible.
Beyond German packaging EPR, EPRORA can connect product and production data with ongoing compliance. That turns a single regulatory obligation into a reusable digital operating layer for products and markets.

Product, material and compliance data can be consolidated into digital product passports and made available as structured product information.
Individual products or production units can be uniquely identified by serial numbers and QR codes and linked to product, production, Digital Product Passport and compliance records.
Production and enterprise systems can connect through the EPRORA Production Connector to product, serial-number, packaging and compliance workflows.
EPRORA can therefore connect the path from a manufactured unit through serial number, QR-based product identity and Digital Product Passport to packaging and market compliance in one system.
For manufacturers, brands and exporters: organise product, material, supplier and production data early. The EU is introducing Digital Product Passports by product category, not as a blanket rule for every product in 2027.
EU battery passports then apply to EV batteries, light-means-of-transport batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh. Capture model and item-level evidence at source.
Product-specific ESPR rules are planned for 2027; actual obligations and transitions depend on adopted measures. There is no universal textile DPP mandate from February 2027.
Iron and steel, aluminium, tyres, furniture and other groups are progressing on separate regulatory timetables. Only the applicable EU legal acts set binding requirements.
EPRORA connects product master data, material and supplier evidence, batches, serial numbers and QR identity, with optional production-system integration where interfaces permit. Make DPP preparation a reusable export-data workflow.
Specific integrations depend on interfaces and data quality. DPP readiness must not be confused with verified legal compliance.
One-time setup for a new German mandate: CHF 29.
Plus applicable VAT; system participation and selected add-ons are separate.
Separate free official LUCID registration, any required system participation and EPRORA service fees. Review the current price, included services, any setup fee, renewal and cancellation terms before subscribing. No purchase should be based on an assumed all-inclusive licence.
Check requirements →EPRORA contracts and invoices are denominated in CHF. UK businesses see the EPRORA price structure before starting the check or checkout. Official LUCID producer registration is free. German dual-system/recycling costs are charged separately by the relevant external system operator according to packaging material, weight and contract.
GBP conversion depends on your card, bank or payment provider. EPRORA does not use a hidden GBP exchange-rate markup on this page.
A UK company supplying the German market needs to assess the German producer-responsibility rules separately. VAT, EORI, customs arrangements and UK packaging compliance are different compliance layers and do not replace the German LUCID and EPR process.
Germany EPR after Brexit →German packaging compliance is ongoing data work, not merely a registration number. EPRORA is designed to connect supported sales channels with product and packaging records so evidence is ready when required.
Automation depends on each platform’s current API, granted account permissions and available data fields. Unsupported fields can be maintained through structured input.
EPRORA can continue from packaging compliance into Digital Product Passports, serial-number-based product identity and production-system integration — keeping product, packaging and compliance data connected instead of rebuilding the same record in multiple systems.
Each guide answers one high-intent UK search question and links back into the same EPRORA compliance workflow.
If the business is established outside Germany, has no branch in Germany and sells empty packaging or packaged products directly to end users in Germany without an intermediary retailer, the German framework requires an authorised representative from 12 August 2026. The actual producer role and sales chain still need to be checked.
Normally no. An existing LUCID producer registration remains the starting point. The registration details should be reviewed and updated, including the authorised representative where required.
Yes. Official producer registration in the LUCID Packaging Register is free of charge. Dual-system participation, authorised-representative services and other private compliance services are separate cost items.
The producer must complete the LUCID registration step that German law reserves to the producer. EPRORA prepares the route, tracks status and handles the transferable follow-on compliance workflow.
No. UK packaging compliance does not replace Germany-specific LUCID, system participation, reporting or authorised-representative obligations. Germany must be assessed as its own destination market.
No. VAT and customs identifiers are separate from packaging producer-responsibility obligations and do not replace LUCID, system participation or an authorised representative where required.
Not necessarily. Marketplace verification is a sales-channel check. It does not replace the underlying producer-role assessment, LUCID record, system participation, reporting or representative appointment.
For supported connectors and where the platform API and account permissions allow it, EPRORA can use sales and product data in the compliance workflow. Data that cannot be retrieved automatically can be maintained through structured input.
Yes. EPRORA also supports Digital Product Passports, serial-number and product-identity workflows, QR-code-based product access and production-system integration through the Production Connector.
Yes. EPRORA can connect product master data, serial numbers and QR-code-based product identity with Digital Product Passports and supported production or enterprise systems through the Production Connector.

Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.
Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.
A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.
Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.
A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.
EPRORA connects packaging compliance, product passports and production data. Small online shops, manufacturers and enterprise groups can organise their data in one platform.
