Germany EPR for UK sellers
A UK business selling packaged products directly to customers in Germany must assess German packaging EPR separately from UK packaging compliance. Depending on the producer role and sales chain, the German route can include LUCID registration, system participation, packaging-volume reporting and a German Authorised Representative.
Germany is a separate EPR destination market
UK packaging obligations, VAT, EORI and customs arrangements do not replace German producer-responsibility duties. The seller and fulfilment structure determine which German obligations apply.
Move from registration to ongoing evidence
EPRORA keeps mandate, LUCID status, packaging quantities, reporting records and supported commerce data together instead of rebuilding the compliance file for every reporting period.
Frequently asked questions
Do UK sellers need Germany EPR?
Potentially yes. The German producer role depends on the actual sales and fulfilment structure, not simply on where the company is incorporated.
Is LUCID the same as the whole Germany EPR process?
No. LUCID is the official producer register. Applicable system participation, reporting and representative obligations sit alongside the registration.
Can an existing LUCID number be kept?
Yes. Existing producer registrations normally remain the starting point and should be updated rather than duplicated.

Product passports, serial numbers, QR codes and production integration
EPRORA can extend the same product and packaging data into Digital Product Passports, serial-number and QR-code-based product identity, supported marketplace/shop workflows and the Production Connector for production or enterprise-system integration.
Keep your shop. Add the German compliance layer.
Existing LUCID registrations, marketplaces and shops can remain in place. EPRORA organises the German Authorised Representative, LUCID status, packaging data and evidence workflow around them.
