Keep your German business moving. EPRORA helps Austrian sellers and manufacturers organise LUCID, representation, packaging quantities and evidence.
Already registered in LUCID, shipping small volumes or facing a marketplace evidence request? Start with your actual case. Existing records remain the starting point; after effective appointment, EPRORA handles the transferable German packaging duties.
From a small Etsy shop to a manufacturer with several sales channels: identify the next step, the information needed and the part EPRORA can handle.
You need to update an existing German record, not obtain a duplicate producer number.
You need to identify missing packaging steps before starting or resuming sales.
Annual fees and administration must remain predictable for small orders.
You are compliant in Austria and need to know whether Germany is covered too.
A notice or listing restriction refers to EPR, but the missing evidence is unclear.
Boxes, filling material and multiple packaging variants keep generating separate lists and evidence requests.
Seller, storage, customers and packaging data are spread across systems and repeatedly reconciled.
EPRORA service starts at CHF 59 per year. A new German mandate costs CHF 29 once: from CHF 88 in first-year service fees in the appropriate entry plan. Official LUCID registration and ZSVR reporting cost CHF 0. External system participation based on material, weight and tariff, any applicable taxes and selected extras are separate. System fees follow the disclosed prepayment process; a pending system quotation does not mean a zero fee. Contract and invoice are in Swiss francs, not euros. A packaging-only case does not require a product-passport subscription.
Explore this case →Section 68(2) VerpackDG continues existing registrations and requires the relevant updates by 12 November 2026. The representative requirement for the foreign producers covered already applies from 12 August 2026. November is not a general grace period for missing representation. Existing system agreements and quantities already covered must be checked before a transition.
As reviewed on 15 October 2026, WKO is calling for simplification and postponement of the representative requirement. A political request is not an enacted exemption. Applicable law, producer role and the actual supply chain remain decisive. This statement does not claim automatic monitoring of future legal changes.
WKO · 13.10.2026An Austrian manufacturer is already established in the EU. Selling to Germany alone does not automatically require an additional German GPSR representative. For imported goods, manufacturer, importer and any representative roles must be assessed separately. Product identification, safety information and required documentation still matter. A German packaging mandate does not replace product duties or separate electrical-equipment and battery registrations. Ordinary Union goods in free circulation do not become a third-country import merely by crossing from Austria to Germany. Tax advice, shipping and returns remain separate costs. EPRORA does not guarantee immediate marketplace reinstatement or complete product compliance through a packaging subscription.

Reviewed:
Your role and sales model in Germany matter more than the Austrian registered office alone. Direct sales to German end users without a German establishment are especially relevant.
An existing LUCID registration remains in place. If none exists, official producer registration is available online and free. EPRORA prepares the company and representative data, supports the return flow and rechecks status.
As on the main EPRORA platform, the commerce stack remains in place. Available data is imported after connection and authorisation; missing packaging materials or weights are completed during setup or changes.
A listed platform does not mean your account is already connected. Availability depends on the provider, API, permissions and your authorisation.
Austrian packaging rules and Austrian collection/recovery systems address Austrian duties. For Germany, Austrian WKO guidance continues to identify the German Packaging Act, ZSVR/LUCID, producer responsibility and representation. EPRORA keeps country roles separate while reusing product and packaging master data.
The ZSVR gives the following examples: up to €200,000 for breaches of system-participation duties, up to €100,000 for breaches of registration duties and up to €10,000 for breaches of data-reporting duties.
The actual fine depends on the type, severity and degree of fault. Multiple breaches may be sanctioned separately; disgorgement of economic benefits may also be possible.
Beyond German packaging EPR, EPRORA can connect product and production data with ongoing compliance. That turns a single regulatory obligation into a reusable digital operating layer for products and markets.
LUCID, German authorised representative, system status, packaging quantities, reports, evidence and shop/marketplace data in one ongoing workflow.
Product, material and compliance data can be consolidated into digital product passports and made available as structured product information.
Individual products or production units can be uniquely identified by serial numbers and QR codes and linked to product, production, Digital Product Passport and compliance records.
Production and enterprise systems can connect through the EPRORA Production Connector to product, serial-number, packaging and compliance workflows.
EPRORA can therefore connect the path from a manufactured unit through serial number, QR-based product identity and Digital Product Passport to packaging and market compliance in one system.
For manufacturers, brands and exporters: organise product, material, supplier and production data early. The EU is introducing Digital Product Passports by product category, not as a blanket rule for every product in 2027.
EU battery passports then apply to EV batteries, light-means-of-transport batteries and industrial batteries above 2 kWh. Capture model and item-level evidence at source.
Product-specific ESPR rules are planned for 2027; actual obligations and transitions depend on adopted measures. There is no universal textile DPP mandate from February 2027.
Iron and steel, aluminium, tyres, furniture and other groups are progressing on separate regulatory timetables. Only the applicable EU legal acts set binding requirements.
EPRORA connects product master data, material and supplier evidence, batches, serial numbers and QR identity, with optional production-system integration where interfaces permit. Make DPP preparation a reusable export-data workflow.
Specific integrations depend on interfaces and data quality. DPP readiness must not be confused with verified legal compliance.
One-time setup for a new German mandate: CHF 29.
Plus applicable VAT; system participation and selected add-ons are separate.
Separate free official LUCID registration, any required system participation and EPRORA service fees. Review the current price, included services, any setup fee, renewal and cancellation terms before subscribing. No purchase should be based on an assumed all-inclusive licence.

The search cluster covers Austrian information terms such as PPWR Germany, packaging law for Austrian companies in Germany, LUCID, VerpackDG, registration/reporting and representatives, together with transactional queries such as Germany EPR Austria.
Local search pages, de-AT/en-AT hreflang, structured FAQ/Service/HowTo data, sitemap/feed, AI indexes and machine-readable answers expose the same Austria-specific proposition to web search and answer engines.
Each guide answers one concrete information or purchase-intent question, with linked Austrian German and English versions.
No. Retain the existing registration of the same legal entity and update the required details and any representative appointment. EPRORA supports the process; producer-only registry actions remain with the producer.
An Austria-only agreement does not automatically fulfil German duties. The actual countries and services in the agreement matter. EPRORA starts with existing coverage rather than replacing it without checking.
From CHF 59 per year plus CHF 29 once for a new German mandate in the appropriate entry plan: from CHF 88 in first-year service fees. External system costs, applicable taxes and chosen extras are separate. Official LUCID registration is free. CHF means Swiss francs, not euros.
No. Relief for some packaging-conformity requirements is not a blanket EPR or licensing exemption. Producer role, supply chain, packaging and destination market must be assessed.
No. EPRORA can handle the agreed packaging case and provide relevant evidence. The marketplace checks the information and decides reinstatement. A GPSR or product-data restriction is not resolved by a packaging mandate.
Not automatically just because it sells into Germany. An Austrian manufacturer is already established in the EU. For imported goods, the economic-operator roles require a separate assessment. German packaging representation and GPSR responsibility are different tasks.
No. Packaging EPR and packaging conformity are distinct. Supplier information can support an assessment but does not replace it. Required technical evidence and responsibility must be established; document management is not certification.
No. A reseller is different from a professional end user. Registration, system participation and other take-back duties require separate assessment. A fulfilment warehouse alone does not prove your own establishment.
A political request does not automatically change applicable law. As reviewed on 15 October 2026, applicable representation duties and the required updates of existing LUCID records by 12 November 2026 must be distinguished. Check new official publications and your actual case.
No. Select those modules only where needed. A statutory product-passport requirement depends on the product category and application date. A packaging-only case does not require a blanket add-on subscription.

Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.
Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.
A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.
Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.
A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.
EPRORA connects packaging compliance, product passports and production data. Small online shops, manufacturers and enterprise groups can organise their data in one platform.
