PPWR and German packaging EPR for Lithuanian exporters

PPWR applies across the EU from 12 August 2026, but EPR registration and execution remain national. Lithuanian exporters therefore need EU-level packaging conformity plus a Germany-specific execution layer.

Free 60-second checkLithuania overview
Keep the Lithuanian legal entity, marketplaces and ERP/PIM stack
Treat Lithuanian GPAIS and German EPR as separate legal compliance layers
Reuse an existing LUCID record for the same legal entity
Connect Product Master, Packaging Master, DPP, serial numbers, QR and production data

Structured packaging data becomes strategic

Material, weight, format and product identity can feed EPR, DPP and production workflows from shared master data.

Germany keeps its operational layer

LUCID, system participation, reporting and representation remain concrete destination-market processes.

GPAIS ≠ LUCID

Lithuanian GPAIS does not replace German LUCID.

GPAIS registration and packaging records are Lithuania-specific. German sales separately require producer-role, LUCID, system participation, reporting and EPR authorised-representative analysis.

BEYOND PACKAGING EPR

DPP, serial numbers, QR and production in the same data model

EPRORA can extend the same product and packaging data to Digital Product Passports, serial numbers, QR product identity and Production Connector.

Frequently asked questions

Does Lithuanian GPAIS registration cover German packaging EPR?

No. GPAIS registration and record keeping are Lithuania-specific. German sales require a separate assessment of producer role, LUCID, system participation, data reporting and authorised representation.

Is official LUCID registration free?

Yes. Official producer registration in LUCID and ZSVR data reporting are free of charge. Private services and system participation are separate costs.

Can an existing LUCID number remain in use?

Yes. For the same Lithuanian legal entity, the existing producer record should normally be retained and updated instead of duplicated.

Does a Lithuanian business need a German EPR authorised representative?

Since 12 August 2026, a foreign producer without a German establishment that directly supplies packaging or packaged products to German end users must appoint a German-based EPR authorised representative. LUCID registration remains the producer’s personal duty.

Can EPRORA connect commerce and ERP systems?

Yes where a supported direct connector exists; otherwise API, middleware or structured import can be used. EPRORA does not present unsupported integrations as direct connectors.

Packaging representation for your EU sales markets

Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.

A separate mandate and annual subscription for each country

Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.

A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.

Country-specific mandate documents

Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.

A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.

Battery, textile and furniture product passports

EPRORA connects packaging compliance, product passports and production data. Small online shops, manufacturers and enterprise groups can organise their data in one platform.
