Is a SABER certificate an EU Digital Product Passport?

No. SABER concerns Saudi product conformity; EU DPP is a product-data system governed by the relevant legislation.

What SABER does

The platform supports product, conformity and shipment certificates under applicable Saudi routes. Identify the relevant technical regulation, product code and procedure.

What a DPP does

A passport links product, materials, responsible-operator and evidence information to an identity under its category’s rules. A QR image or national certificate does not automatically fulfil these requirements.

Keep legal records distinct

Maintain SABER documents, the EU product file and LUCID registration as separate processes even when they share master data.

Packaging representation for your EU sales markets

Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.

A separate mandate and annual subscription for each country

Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.

A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.

Country-specific mandate documents

Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.

A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.
