Malaysia is developing national EPR through circular-economy policy, industry-led voluntary schemes and plans for later mandatory measures. Do not present those proposed dates as proof of a universal enforceable Malaysian packaging EPR duty in 2026. Germany has applied the PPWR and VerpackDG since 12 August 2026.

Identify the liable producer, official LUCID registration, packaging-scheme participation, reporting and authorised representation where required.
Bring together mandates, packaging and SKU data, brands, sales channels and evidence while preserving the distinct legal obligations of each market.
Low sales volume alone is no exemption; packaged goods shipped directly to German end users can trigger EPR duties.
Keep existing commerce channels. Align LUCID and representative details with the actual legal seller; use supported connectors or imports.
Organise supplier, material, batch, origin and production data for EU buyers and future sector-specific DPP compliance.
Use Product Master, Packaging Master, serial identity and QR data to prepare without pretending every product needs a DPP from 2027.
Select the real selling structure, packaging and optional DPP quantities; zero product passports is a valid choice.
All configured annual service prices and the one-off German mandate setup are displayed before checkout. Third-party schemes are separate.
Avoid registering the same entity twice. Producer-personal steps in the official register remain with the producer.
After contractual confirmation, EPRORA can carry out lawfully transferable producer-responsibility tasks.
Organise commerce, packaging and documentation for ongoing management in EPRORA Office.
Annual plans and fees are read from EPRORA’s active pricing configuration. Contract and invoice currency is CHF; MYR figures would be indicative and require current exchange rates.
One-time German representative mandate setup: CHF 29.
Official LUCID producer registration: CHF 0.
German packaging-scheme participation is a separate third-party charge based on materials, packaging weights and operator.
Digital Product Passports are optional with their own quantity and applicable charges. Select zero when not required; the Selfcheck shows the relevant recommendation.
Check requirements and prices →EPRORA connects sales, product and packaging data where suitable interfaces and permissions exist. Direct automation is not promised for unsupported systems; APIs, middleware and structured data imports can be used as appropriate.
Amazon, Shopify, WooCommerce, eBay, Etsy and supported channels. Shopee/Lazada merchants may use structured exports when a direct integration is not available.
SAP, Dynamics, NetSuite, Odoo and custom factory systems can provide data through supported interfaces.
Structure SKU, supplier, material, packaging-weight and evidence records in a controlled source of truth.
For Malaysia’s export-oriented manufacturers, a Digital Product Passport is more than a QR image. Product, material, supplier, economic-operator, serial and manufacturing evidence must follow the rules for the relevant EU category.
EV batteries, light-means-of-transport batteries and industrial batteries over 2 kWh are covered. The economic operator placing the finished battery on the EU market is responsible for registration, not automatically every component supplier.
There is no general DPP obligation for all electronics in February 2027. Establish a reusable product-data foundation while future sector measures progress.
Textile ESPR acts have a separate future schedule. EPRORA can link QR identity, serial numbers and manufacturing systems where supported.
Designed for multi-brand groups, legal entities, contract manufacturers and EU destination markets, while remaining accessible to small merchants.
The ZSVR gives the following examples: up to €200,000 for breaches of system-participation duties, up to €100,000 for breaches of registration duties and up to €10,000 for breaches of data-reporting duties.
The actual fine depends on the type, severity and degree of fault. Multiple breaches may be sanctioned separately; disgorgement of economic benefits may also be possible.
Beyond German packaging EPR, EPRORA can connect product and production data with ongoing compliance. That turns a single regulatory obligation into a reusable digital operating layer for products and markets.
LUCID, German authorised representative, system status, packaging quantities, reports, evidence and shop/marketplace data in one ongoing workflow.
Product, material and compliance data can be consolidated into digital product passports and made available as structured product information.
Individual products or production units can be uniquely identified by serial numbers and QR codes and linked to product, production, Digital Product Passport and compliance records.
Production and enterprise systems can connect through the EPRORA Production Connector to product, serial-number, packaging and compliance workflows.
EPRORA can therefore connect the path from a manufactured unit through serial number, QR-based product identity and Digital Product Passport to packaging and market compliance in one system.
LUCID, system participation and representation may be mandatory depending on the specific producer role. EPRORA supports evidence and delegated tasks but not the producer’s personally reserved registrations.
Not automatically. Determine the actual packaging producer for Germany, direct delivery to German end users and any German intermediate seller.
Yes. Official producer registration is free. Update an existing record for the same legal entity; personal producer-only registration steps remain with the producer.
For qualifying foreign producers without a branch in Germany selling packaged goods directly to German end users, since 12 August 2026.
Do not assume that. Malaysia has voluntary industry programmes and EPR policy proposals; verify any currently binding domestic provisions for the relevant product and region.
Available data flows depend on supported APIs and permissions. Where a direct connector does not exist, structured exports and imports may be used.
No. EU requirements are product-category specific. Certain batteries require a passport from 18 February 2027; electronics follow separate timelines.
The responsible economic operator placing the finished battery on the EU market or putting it into service, not necessarily component suppliers.
Yes. DPP is optional, and Selfcheck must permit quantity zero without a forced add-on.
General information, not individual legal, tax or customs advice. · 2026-10-12
General compliance information only; not individual legal, tax or customs advice. The actual producer role and supply chain must be assessed case by case.
Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.
Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.
A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.
Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.
A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.
EPRORA connects packaging compliance, product passports and production data. Small online shops, manufacturers and enterprise groups can organise their data in one platform.
