Etsy Germany EPR for Indian sellers
If an Indian seller ships packaged goods through Etsy directly to German customers, marketplace status does not replace the underlying German producer responsibility. The seller role, LUCID, dual-system and representative requirement should be assessed separately.
Small volume is not an automatic exemption
Do not assume that low order volume removes the relevant registration and packaging obligations.
Prepare evidence before a platform asks
EPRORA Office keeps LUCID, mandate and packaging records together.
Digital Product Passports, serial numbers, QR codes and production integration
EPRORA can extend the same product and packaging data into Digital Product Passports, serial-number and QR-code product identity, supported marketplace/shop workflows and Production Connector integration for production or enterprise systems.
Frequently asked questions
Is official LUCID registration free?
Yes. Producer registration and ZSVR data reporting are free of charge. Dual-system, representative and private service costs are separate.
Can an Indian company reuse an existing LUCID number?
Yes. The existing producer registration should normally be retained and updated rather than duplicated.
Do GST, IEC, customs clearance or export documents replace German packaging EPR?
No. Indian export, tax and customs formalities are separate from German packaging producer responsibility.
Can existing Amazon, Etsy, Shopify or eBay accounts remain in place?
Yes. EPRORA adds the German compliance and data layer around supported existing commerce channels.
