Shopify Germany EPR for Australian businesses

An Australian DTC business can keep Shopify, WooCommerce or its own web store. EPRORA adds the Germany compliance layer and connects supported sales and product data to packaging profiles, reporting and evidence.

Free 60-second checkAustralia overview
Keep your Australian legal entity, marketplaces and ERP/PIM stack
Treat Australian packaging compliance and German destination-market EPR as separate compliance layers
Reuse an existing LUCID record for the same legal entity
Connect Product Master, Packaging Master, DPP, serial numbers, QR and production data

No commerce migration required

Use a supported connector, API, middleware or structured import depending on platform and access rights.

Reuse product data beyond EPR

The Product Master can support Digital Product Passports, serialisation, QR identity and Production Connector workflows.

AUSTRALIAN PACKAGING COMPLIANCE ≠ GERMAN PACKAGING EPR

APCO and the Australian Packaging Covenant do not replace LUCID.

Australia’s existing co-regulatory packaging arrangement remains in force while national reforms are developed. That Australian layer can remain in place, but Germany still requires its own producer, LUCID, system, reporting and representation analysis.

BEYOND PACKAGING EPR

DPP, serial numbers, QR and production in the same data model

EPRORA can extend the same product and packaging data to Digital Product Passports, serial numbers, QR product identity, supported commerce data and Production Connector.

Frequently asked questions

Does Australian packaging compliance cover sales into Germany?

No. Australia’s current co-regulatory packaging framework and Australian Packaging Covenant do not replace German producer-role, LUCID, system-participation, reporting or authorised-representative obligations.

Is official LUCID registration free?

Yes. Official producer registration and ZSVR data reporting are free of charge. Private service and system-participation costs are separate.

Can we keep our existing LUCID number?

Yes. For the same legal entity, the existing producer record should normally be retained and updated rather than duplicated.

Do Australian businesses need a German authorised representative?

A foreign producer without an establishment in Germany that directly supplies packaging or packaged products to German end users must assess the current authorised-representative requirement under the rules applied from 12 August 2026.

Can EPRORA connect our commerce and ERP systems?

Supported connectors are used where available. Other systems can be handled by API, middleware or structured import without falsely claiming a direct connector.

Packaging representation for your EU sales markets

Use the self-check to record the EU countries you sell to. Then explicitly choose each supported country for which you wish to appoint EPRORA. Selecting a sales destination does not itself grant a mandate.

A separate mandate and annual subscription for each country

Each newly appointed country has its own applicable annual subscription and one-time mandate setup fee. Regular annual renewal does not repeat the setup fee. The self-check shows the country-by-country charges, first-year total and subsequent annual fees. Applicable VAT and third-party costs are itemised separately.

A country rules and monitoring package does not replace representation or the annual subscription for another country. Additional services are shown separately from the mandate.

Country-specific mandate documents

Each appointed country has its own mandate documents. Review the details, complete any blank fields and sign the relevant documents. Generating a document or making a payment alone does not activate the mandate.

A German LUCID registration or a German mandate does not replace a separate appointment for other sales markets. Existing registrations and packaging scheme agreements are taken into account when processing your appointment.

Battery, textile and furniture product passports

EPRORA connects packaging compliance, product passports and production data. Small online shops, manufacturers and enterprise groups can organise their data in one platform.
