# EPRORA Hong Kong — Germany Packaging EPR

A Hong Kong company selling packaged products directly to German end users can have Germany-specific packaging EPR obligations even without a German subsidiary. Since 12 August 2026, qualifying foreign producers without a German branch must appoint a German Authorised Representative. LUCID producer registration remains the producer's own duty.

香港公司如直接向德國終端用戶銷售包裝商品，即使沒有德國子公司，仍可能有德國包裝 EPR 義務。自 2026 年 8 月 12 日起，符合條件、在德國沒有分支的境外生產者需要指定德國授權代表。LUCID 生產者註冊仍由生產者本人完成。

Existing LUCID registrations should normally be reused and updated rather than duplicated. Official LUCID producer registration is free.

## Cost structure / 費用結構

EPRORA service fees are shown before checkout. Official LUCID producer registration is free. German dual-system/recycling charges are third-party costs based on packaging material, weight and operator tariff. EPRORA contracts and invoices are denominated in CHF.

## Hong Kong commerce context / 香港跨境商業

Hong Kong businesses can keep their existing company structure and supported Amazon, eBay, Temu, TikTok Shop, Shopify, Alibaba.com, AliExpress, WooCommerce and own-store workflows. Marketplace verification does not replace the underlying German legal obligations.

For Hong Kong brands using mainland China OEM/ODM factories, do not assume that the factory is automatically the German legal producer. Brand, contract-manufacturing, seller and supply-chain facts must be assessed together.
